Dugald Place will provide housing for those who require a greater range of supports, services, and a meal program.
It is planned as a 54 unit, 4-storey residence with assisted living services. With construction anticipated to begin in late 2024 and opening early Summer of 2026, interested individuals can make a refundable deposit of $1,000 to be on the priority waiting list. There are no age restrictions to live in Dugald Place.
Who are we?
Dugald Place is the first project of Springfield Heritage Housing Inc. (SHHI), a community not-for-profit focused on increasing seniors housing opportunities in the municipality. SHHI is a partnership between the RM, the Dugald Place Housing Coop and the Springfield Seniors Non-Profit Housing Co-op (SSHC), builders of the successful Dugald Estates seniors independent housing project.
SHHI is led by a Board of Directors comprised of three Springfield municipal councilors and three community member volunteers. Springfield Heritage Housing’s first project will be to build Dugald Place, the planned assisted living retirement residence to be built adjacent to Dugald Estates.
Dugald, Manitoba is a welcoming rural community within 10 minutes of Winnipeg and less than 5 minutes to Oakbank.
It is nestled close to Birds Hill Provincial Park with walking, biking and cross-country ski trails.
